Wayne L. Larison

ORLEANS -- Wayne L. Larison, 79, died Sunday (Feb. 10, 2002) at Harlan County Hospital at Alma. He was born June 8, 1922 at Orleans to James and Ethel (Russell) Larison. He was a lifelong resident of Orleans.

On July 19, 1952, he married Maxine Shearer at Phillipsburg, Kan. He worked for Harlan County Road & Bridge Department for many years as well as farming southwest of Orleans.

He was preceded in death by his parents.

Survivors include his wife, Maxine of Orleans; two sons, Tim and wife, Janet Larison of Long Island, Kan., and Jim and wife, Tina Larison of Stamford; one daughter, Jodi and husband, Kurtis Wolfe of Hays, Kan.; one brother, Raymond and wife, Myrna Larison of Orleans; and 10 grandchildren.

Services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at United Methodist Church at Long Island, Kan. with the Rev. Richard Zimmerman officiating. Burial will follow at Woodruff Cemetery at Woodruff, Kan.

Visitation is today until 8 p.m.; Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City; and Thursday from 10 a.m. until the time of service at the church. Memorials may be given in his name.
