BENKELMAN -- Edna N. Stamm, 84, died Wednesday (Feb. 20, 2002) at Sarah Ann Hester Memorial Home in Benkelman.
She was born June 16, 1917, to John and Fern (Atcheson) Stamm at Daniel, Wyo., and moved with her family throughout Nebraska, Oklahoma, Wyoming, California, and Colorado. She graduated from high school in Gunnison, Colo.
On Oct. 10, 1937, she married Frankie William Stamm and later moved to Benkelman where they raised their sons. She was a member of the Benkelman United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Frank; one sister, Ruby; and three brothers, John, Forrest, and Sherman.
Survivors include three sons, Frank and wife, Toby Stamm of Torrington, Wyo., John "Dee" and wife, Maureen Stamm and Bob and wife, Margaret Stamm all of Benkelman; eight grandchildren and eight great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m. MST at the Benkelman United Methodist Church with the Rev. Norman Prather officiating. Interment will be at the Benkelman Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m. MST at the Forch Funeral Chapel of Benkelman.
