OBERLIN -- Ida E. Barratt, 87, died Saturday (March 9, 2002) at the Good Samaritan Hospital in Kearney.
She was born June 24, 1914, to John and Clara (Hemphill) Perona in Barton County, Mo.
On Nov. 26, 1928, she married Floyd Holliday. He died in 1946. She then married LeRoy Barratt on Dec. 5, 1953. She had lived in Dodge City, Kan. and Great Bend, Kan. before moving to Decatur County in 2000. She was a homemaker.
She was a member of the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Floyd in 1946, and LeRoy in 1978; one son, Floyd; four sisters, two sons-in-law; and three grandchildren.
Survivors include seven daughters, Nora Bell Manning of Oberlin, Darlene and husband, Jim Glover of Bentonville, Ark., Rose Weaver of Kearney, Berta Lee and husband, Otis Gaines of Antlers, Okla., Mary and husband, Ken Allison of Larned, Kan., Pansy and husband, Bob Lambert of Stockton, Kan., and Petsy and husband, Mike Bane of Haven, Kan.; one brother, John Perona of Dodge City; 27 grandchildren; 53 great-grandchildren; and 24 great-great-grandchildren.
Services will be Tuesday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with Sister Marilyn Wall officiating. Interment will be in the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m., and Tuesday from 8 a.m. until the time of the service.
A memorial has been established in her name.
