David Lee Horton

BEAVER CITY -- David Lee Horton, 69, died Wednesday (March 13, 2002) at his home in Beaver City.

He was born Sept. 17, 1932, to Charles and Blanch (Williams) Horton in Quinn, S.D. He grew up and graduated in South Dakota. He served in the U. S. Air Force during the Korean Conflict.

On Aug. 13, 1975, he married Lois Lee at Longmont, Colo. The couple moved to Beaver City in the early 1980s where he was employed in the carpentry business.

He was preceded in death by his parents; one son, Randall; and two brothers, Charles and Donevon.

Survivors include his wife, Lois of Beaver City; three daughters, Carol Horton of Minnesota, Rhyllis Horton or Arvada, Colo., and Susan Horton of Colorado; four step-sons, Mathew and Darrell Richardson of Stamford, and Allen and Brian Richardson of Beaver City; one step-daughter, Kathern Lindsay of Longmont, Colo.; three brothers, Gaylord of Oregon, Eugene of Colorado, and Wayne of Arizona; six grandchildren and two great-grandchildren.

Services will be Monday, 1:30 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City with Pastor Linda Knipping officiating. Interment will be at a later date in South Dakota.

There is no viewing or visitation.

Wenburg Funeral Home is in charge of the arrangements.
