OBERLIN -- Marvin "Perk" Lloyd Leitner, 81, died Wednesday (March 27, 2002) at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
He was born Dec. 31, 1920, to Paul and Theresia (Wendelin) Leitner at Herndon. He was raised at Traer and attended Traer Rural Schools.
He served in the United States Army during World War II.
He was preceded in death by his parents; brother, Robert; and one grandson.
Survivors include one son, Terry and wife, Judy Leitner of Globe, Ariz.; three daughters, Sharon and husband, Marty McCabe, Janice Smith of Oberlin, and Cathy and husband, Mark Fraker of Ellis, Kan.; two brothers, Gene and wife, Marcella Leitner and Jerald and wife, Elaine Leitner all of Oberlin; 11 grandchildren; two step-grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be today, 3 p.m., at the Oberlin Cemetery with Rev. Royce Leitner officiating.
Memorials may be given in his name.
