LITTLETON, Colo. -- Aubrey J. Heller, 85, died Saturday (March 30, 2002) at Porter Hospice in Littleton, Colo.

He was born Jan. 14, 1917, to George and Minnie (Ludwig) Heller at Kanona, Kan. He grew up in McCook and attended McCook High School. He graduated from high school at Marion.

On Jan. 13, 1940, he married Virginia Huet. They lived in McCook before moving to San Diego, Calif., where he was employed in the Aero Space Industry. They moved to Kansas City, Mo. and Chicago before moving to Denver in 1958. The couple then moved back to California before returning to Denver in 1981.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Virginia in 1991.

Survivors include two daughters, Lois Heller Kai and husband, Steve of Littleton, and Laura and husband, Tom Pfeffer of Arvada, Colo.; two brothers, Marvin Heller of Littleton, and Curtis Zimmerman of Westminster, Colo.; two grandsons; and two great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiating. Interment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery. Friends may call at Herrmann Funeral Home in McCook on Thursday afternoon.

Memorials may be given in his name to the Porter Hospice, 5020 East Arapahoe Road, Littleton, CO 80122.
