ELWOOD -- Rosella Harm, 87, died Monday (April 8, 2002) at the Elwood Care Center.
She was born Sept. 21, 1914, at Crofton to William and Freida (Filter) Schinkel. As a child, she lived in Brazil Mills before moving to Norfolk.
On Dec. 18, 1932, she married William Harm. They lived on a farm southwest of Elwood. In 1969, they moved from the Salem community southwest of Elwood into Elwood.
She was a member of Our Redeemer Lutheran Church, where she served as janitor for many years. She was also a member of the Salem Lutheran Church, Ladies Aid, Alexis Club and Plum Creek Garden Club.
She was preceded in death by a son, Norman; one grandson; a great-granddaughter; two sisters, Elfreida and Selma; and two brothers, Raymond and Paul.
Survivors include her husband, William of Elwood; two daughters, Marilyn and husband, Don Frost of Overton, and Sharon and husband, Robert Jack of Eustis; one son, Lowell and wife, Sharon Kay of Oxford; one sister, Eleanor Wrona of Corpus Christi, Texas; a sister-in-law, Gertie and husband, Ralph Fox of Elwood; 10 grandchildren; and 23 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elwood with Pastor Richard Boring officiating. Burial will be in the Elwood Cemetery.
Visitation will be Wednesday, 3 to 8 p.m., at Our Redeemer Lutheran Church in Elwood.
A memorial has been established in her memory.
