Opal I. Hager, 78, died Sunday (April 14, 2002) at McCook Community Hospital.
She was born Sept. 11, 1923, at Riverton to Ernest and Lula (Johnson) Secrest. She graduated from Red Cloud High School in 1941.
She moved to the McCook community in 1954. She was employed by the Electric Hose and Rubber Co.
She was a member of the Eagle's Auxiliary.
Preceding her in death were her parents; one grandson, Brian Hager; two brothers, Harold and Wayne Secrest; and one sister, Marjorie Lou Skinner.
Survivors include three sons, Ronald Hager and wife, Dottie, of Tyrone, Okla., David Hager and wife, Kathy of Atchison, Kan. and Wayne Hager of McCook; one brother, Don Secrest and wife, Virginia, of Fort Collins, Colo.; one sister, Darlene Schaffer of Twin Falls, Idaho; eight grandchildren; and four great-grandchildren.
Services will be Friday, 11 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiating. Burial will be at Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 5 p.m., Thursday, 9 a.m. to 8 p.m., and Friday morning until the time of the service.
Memorials may be given in her name to the Kidney Foundation.
