GREELEY, Colo. -- Donna Mae (Latta) Grosse, 75, died Wednesday (April 17, 2002) at Greeley, Colo.
She was born August 27, 1926, at Trenton, to Albert M. and Zelma B. (Harding) Latta and taught at rural schools after graduating from high school.
On Sept. 26, 1946, she married Morton "Bud" Grosse at Stratton and ran a grocery store in Stratton for 23 years.
She received a bachelor of arts degree in education from Kearney State College and a master of arts degree from the University of Northern Colorado in 1967. They moved to Greeley in 1969 where she taught second grade at Eaton Elementary School for 29 years.
She was a member of Does (Past President, 1995), the Philharmonic Guild, the Board of Directors of the Greeley Children's Chorale, Weld County Retired School Employees Association and a volunteer for the UCCC. She was also a member of Eastern Star, and the American Legion Auxiliary.
She was preceded in death by her parents; Albert and Zelma Latta; brother, Paul Latta; and sister, Betty Latta.
Survivors include her husband, Bud Grosse of Greeley; three daughters, Beverly Williams of Greeley, Marcia Welsh of New York City, N. Y., and Karen Grosse of Larkspur, Calif.; one son, Bruce Grosse of Larkspur; two sisters, Marjorie Miles of Stratton and Dorothy Baker and husband, Wayne of Hot Springs, S. D.; two brothers, Albert "Bert" Latta and wife, Redonda and Willard "Bill" Latta and wife, Arda, all of Stratton; and seven grandchildren
Memorial services will be Monday, 10 a.m. MDT at the First United Methodist Church, 10th Avenue and 10th Street, in Greeley. A private family inurnment will be held at Linn Grove Cemetery.
