Gertrude Mary Antholz

ST. FRANCIS -- Gertrude Mary Antholz, 88, died Saturday (May 18, 2002) at Good Samaritan Village in St. Francis.

She was born March 2, 1914, to Roy and Sophia Mary (Kletchka) McKain in Rawlins County, Kan.

In 1962, she married Edwin Atholz in Bird City. She was a homemaker and a nurse's aid.

She was preceded in death by her husband, Edwin in 1962; and her parents.

Survivors include two sons, Gilbert and Robert Antholz, both of McDonald, Kan.; one daughter, Janet Griffith of Westminster, Colo.; two sisters, Blanche Koons of Atwood and Irene Hopkins of Loveland, Colo.; six grandchildren; and 12 great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Bird City. Burial will be in the Grace Cemetery at McDonald.

Visitation will be Wednesday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m. at Knodel Funeral Home in St. Francis.

Memorials may be given in her name.
