BEAVER CITY -- Marcella "Mickey" Lee, 83, died Thursday (May 23, 2002) at the Beaver City Manor.
She was born April 14, 1919, to Dr. J.W. and Veva (Spears) Meyers in Hendley. She grew up in Hendley and graduated valedictorian from Hendley High School in 1936. After graduation she moved with her family to Gardena, Calif., where she worked for Grauman Chinese Theater in Hollywood.
In 1941, she married George Mital. The couple owned and operated the black smith shop in Hendley.
In 1968, she married Carl Lee and they moved to Clear Lake Oaks, Calif., where she worked for Rockwell International for a number of years. She returned to Beaver City in 1994. She entered the Beaver City Manor in Feb. 1998.
She was a member of the First United Methodist Church in Hendley and the First United Methodist Women, also of Hendley.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both of her husbands; three brothers, Bobby, Larry and an unnamed infant brother.
Survivors include one sister, Betty and husband, John Sewell of Clayton, N.M.
Services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the United Methodist Church in Hendley with Rev. R. L. Malchow and Keith Theobald officiating. Interment will be at Hendley Cemetery.
Visitation will be Sunday, 1-8 p.m., and Monday 9 a.m. - 8 p.m. at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City.
