GRAND ISLAND -- Kimberlee Dawn Brenning, 27, died Wednesday (May 29, 2002) at her home in Grand Island.
She was born June 29, 1974, to Michael and Carolyn (Brown) Brenning. She was one of the first to be born at the new Community Hospital in McCook. She attended Hayes Center Schools, graduating in 1992.
She was a member of St. Paul's Lutheran Church in Grand Island. She loved gardening, flowers, coaching T-Ball, Mickey Mouse, and most especially her niece and nephew. She was preceded in death by her great-grandfather, Forrest Beebe; great-grandparents, John and Katherine Brenning; grandparents, Marlys Henrickson and Charley Brown; and special grandparents, Bill and LaVerne Karre.
Survivors include her parents, Mike and Carolyn of Culbertson; her fiancee, Gary Benavides of Grand Island; brother, Chad Brenning and wife, Laurie, of McCook; niece and nephew, Marlys and Garrett Brenning of McCook; great-grandmother, Ethel Beebe of McCook; grandparents, Vernon and Bonnie Brenning of Culbertson; great-aunt, Darlene Shawley and husband, Gene, of Bainbridge Island, Wash.; aunts, Dixie Henrickson and uncle Kevin Anderson of McCook; Sue Fahrenbruch and husband, Leslie, of Culbertson; uncle, Patrick Brenning of Culbertson; special aunt and uncle Kathy and John Mabile of McCook; cousins, Tasha Allen and family; Trina Mabile; Luke Mabile; Kevin Karre of Denver, Colo; Brenda Gillen and family; Scott Henrickson and family; Travis Wilkinson and family; Shane Wilkinson and family; Tami Pick and family; Heath Wilkinson and family; Walt Brenning and family; Angela Billings and family; numerous friends; and her dogs, Mollee and Ozzee.
Memorials may be given in her name.
Services will be Monday, 10 a.m., at St. John's Lutheran Church in Culbertson with the Rev. Brian Hopfensperger officiating. Burial will be in the Memorial Park Cemetery, McCook.
Visitation will be Saturday 9 to 5 p.m and Sunday 2 to 8 p.m.
