OBERLIN -- Elton "Tony" R. Sebaugh, 83, died Saturday (June 1, 2002) at the Decatur County Hospital in Oberlin.
He was born April 30, 1919, to Edward and Pearl (Stapp) Sebaugh at Norcatur. He attended Blue Star School until the 8th Grade and graduated from Norcatur High School in 1937.
He served in the U. S. Army in the European Theater during World War II.
On Dec. 3, 1940, he married Beth Kintigh at Norton, Kan. The couple resided in the Norcatur area until 1993, when they moved to Oberlin. He was a farmer and a rural mail carrier.
He was a member of the Christian Church of Norcatur.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and an infant daughter, Genola.
Survivors include his wife, Beth of Oberlin; two daughters, Tamara and husband, Jim Bunney of Garden City, Kan. and Telia and husband, Tom Gilcrest of Leawood, Kan.; one brother, Lowell Sebaugh of Norcatur; and two grandchildren.
Funeral services were today, 2 p.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin with Pastor Charles Keller officiating. Interment was at the Norcatur Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Norcatur United Methodist Church.
