CAMBRIDGE -- Mildred Viola Rupp, 93, died Sunday (June 9, 2002) at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital in Cambridge.
She was born Oct. 12, 1908, to John and Francelia (Crapser) Johnson in Cambridge. She graduated from Cambridge High School in 1930.
On Nov. 11, 1933, she married Harold Rupp. The couple made their home near Edison and Holbrook where they farmed. Upon retirement in 1965, they moved to Cambridge. The couple were curators of the Cambridge museum. She worked in the kitchen at the Cambridge Memorial Hospital for a time. Following the death of her husband in 1985, she moved to Parkside Manor, and in May moved to the Cambridge Assisted Living.
She was a member of the Esther Rebeccah Lodge of Cambridge.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband; one brother, Arnold Johnson; and one sister, Tina Mae Balcom.
Survivors include her son, Glenn Rupp and wife, Thelma of Littleton, Colo.; one daughter, Donna Mae and husband, Sam Shafer of Lincoln; three grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Lockenour-Jones Mortuary in Cambridge with the Rev. Theta Dame officiating. Interment will be in the Fairview Cemetery at Cambridge.
