Olive D. Trusty

TRENTON -- Olive D. Trusty, 90, died Friday (June 21, 2002) at Community Hospital of McCook.

She was born Sept. 11, 1911, to Oscar and Lela Mae (Day) Keller in Callaway. She graduated from rural school in Fort Morgan, Colo.

In 1925, she married Edward C. Smith. He preceded her in death in 1951.

On Feb. 16, 1952, she married Lewis E. Trusty at Casper, Wyo. The couple made their home in North Platte for five years before moving to Lafayette, Colo. She was a resident in Trenton for the past eight years.

She was preceded in death by one grandson; four brothers, Harry Keller, Lloyd Keller, Ray Keller and Ralph Keller; and four sisters, Lillian Smith, Violet Snyder, Bessy Keller and Luella Keller.

Survivors include three sons, Myron and wife, Grace Smith of Port Saint Lucie, Fla., Marvin and wife, Kay Smith of Lewellen and Gary and wife, Pennie Smith also of Lewellen; three daughters, Lois Coons, Beverly and husband, Dale Bailey, all of Trenton and Donna and husband, Melvin Bailey of Thornton, Colo.; 18 grandchildren; 30 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
