CARPINTERIA, Calif. -- John Leo "Jack" Dambach, 74, died Monday (June 17, 2002) following a severe stroke.
He was born Dec. 6, 1928, in Palisade. He was paralyzed as a result of polio in 1947, and spent a year at the Children's Hospital in Denver. He moved to California in 1949, to attend the University of California Los Angeles. He graduated from UCLA in 1956 with an undergraduate and law degree. He practiced law with his brother, Jim in Canoga Park, Calif. at a firm called Dambach & Dambach.
In 1960, he married Sharon Lee Kime.
He was a member of the Junior Chamber of Commerce, Canoga Park Rotary Club, SF Valley Bar Association and West Valley Young Republicans. He also served as president of the La Cabana homeowners association.
Survivors include his wife, Sharon; two children, Debbie and Frank, their spouses; and three grandchildren.
A celebration of his life was held July 13, at his home. His ashes will be scattered in the ocean near his home.
