BEAVER CITY -- W. Clark Wanner, 77, died Sunday (Aug. 18, 2002) at Cambridge Memorial Hospital at Cambridge.
He was born March 13, 1925, at Oxford to Leo and Florence (Cunningham) Wanner. He was raised on a farm east of Beaver City. He attended Beaver City Schools through the 11th grade and graduated from Oxford High School with the class of 1942. He worked in Kansas City from 1943-45 at which time he returned to Beaver City. He worked at Horton Drug Store in Beaver City until 1994 when he sold out and retired.
He was a member of First Presbyterian Church in Beaver City and the Beaver City Chamber of Commerce.
He was preceded in death by his parents.
Survivors include one brother, Ronald Wanner and wife, Marlene of Denver, Colo.; and three nephews.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at First Presbyterian Church in Beaver City with the Rev. Darin Bentzinger officiating. Burial will follow at Mt. Hope Cemetery at Beaver City.
Visitation will be today until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 9 a.m to 8 p.m. at the funeral home and prior to services Wednesday at the church.
