Wayne Catt, 95, died Thursday (September 5, 2002) at Community Hospital in McCook.
He was born March 22, 1907, in Wilsonville to Raymond and Mary Belle (Klepper) Catt. He attended school in Wilsonville.
On March 11, 1944, he married Rosemary DeVoe in Norton, Kan. He farmed for a time and was later employed by the Beaver Valley Schools for fifteen years as a school bus driver and custodian until his retirement.
He was preceded in death by his parents; five brothers, Melvin, Merlin, Ivan, Ellsworth "Bud" and Glen Catt; and five
sisters, Twila Scheller, Hazel McConnell, Wilma VanLaningham, Helen Sidman and Lois VanMeter.
Survivors include his wife, Rosemary of McCook; son, Eugene Catt and wife, Judy, of McCook; two daughters, Sherryl Haas of Glendale, Ariz., and Kathy and husband, Jim Hendricks of Gothenburg ; one brother, Eldon "Babe" Catt of McMinnville, Ore.; eight grandchildren and 10 great-grandchildren.
Services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial will be at the Lebanon Cemetery.
Memorials may be given in his name.
Visitation will be Friday 9-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
