WAUNETA -- Beverly Ann Troudt, 63, died Thursday (Sept. 5, 2002) at her home north of Wauneta.
She was born March 1, 1939, at Ogallala to Jack S. and Georgiann (Fenwick) Brogan. She started her schooling at Keystone and graduated from St. Patrick's Academy in Sidney in 1956. She then attended Loretta Heights in Denver, Colo.
On Sept. 6, 1958, she married Patrick O'Neil at Ogallala. The couple settled on a farm north of Wauneta, where she assisted in the farming operation. He died Jan. 12, 1973.
On Aug. 2, 1975, she married Robert L. Troudt at Mt. Zion Methodist Church, south of Wauneta and the couple made their home on the farm until her death. She also served as the Farm Bureau Insurance Agent for Hayes County.
She was a member of St. John's Catholic Church of Wauneta, an active member of the Nebraska Stock Growers' Association, the Nebraska Cow Bells and a charter member of the Garfield Club.
She was preceded in death by her mother; her first husband, Pat O'Neil; one son, William O'Neil; one brother, Joseph Brogan; and an infant brother, Simon.
Survivors include her husband, Bob of Wauneta; two daughters, Cynthia Richardson of Sturgis, S.D. and Michele and husband, Daniel Clem of Denver, Colo.; one son, Brian O'Neil and wife, Rhona of Wauneta; one daughter-in-law, Jennifer O'Neil of Reno, Nev.; one step-daughter, Kristin and husband, David Nickelson of Omaha; one step-son, Eric Troudt, and wife, Renea of Gretna; her father, Jack Brogan of Keystone; two sisters, Kay and husband, Bill Bardsley of Wauneta and Barbara Shaffer of Ogallala; one sister-in-law, Janice Brogan of Keystone; and 10 grandchildren.
Funeral mass was today, 10 a.m., at St. John's Catholic Church in Wauneta with the Rev. Greg Pawloski officiating. Interment followed at Riverside Cemetery at Wauneta.
A memorial has been established to St. John's Catholic Church of Wauneta and the Wauneta Public Library.
