COZAD -- Emma Kay Fields, of Cozad died Thursday (Sept. 5, 2002) at University Hospital in Omaha and Grace Anna Fields, of Cozad died Friday (Sept. 6, 2002) at University Hospital in Omaha.

Both Emma and Grace were born Sept. 4, 2002, at University Hospital in Omaha.

The girls were preceded in death by their grandfather, Mern Fields of Rock Rapids, Iowa; aunt, Debbie Fields of Arapahoe; great-grandparents, Paul and Sylvia Cobb and Louis and Doris Krutsinger all of Benkelman, Roy and Myrtle Fields of Rock Rapids and Grover and Mary Hendrix of Canton, S.D.

Survivors include their parents, Kevin and Deidra Fields of Cozad; grandparents, Kerry and Cindy Krutsinger of Stratton; grandmother, Joyce Fields of Rock Rapids; adopted great-grandfather, Wayne Cobb of Benkelman; uncles and aunts, Brad and Susan Krutsinger of Peyton, Colo., David and Mary Fields of Rock Rapids, Brent and Connie Smets of Lexington; and cousins, Kimberly and Kessandra Krutsinger of Peyton, Heather McClure and Meghan McClure of Sioux City, Iowa, David Soroka of Sioux Falls, S.D., Jared Soroka of Rock Rapids and Trevor, Hannah and Colby Smets of Lexington.

A memorial service was held Monday (Sept. 16, 2002) at 10:30 a.m., at Forch Funeral Chapel in Benkelman with Pastor Roger Daum officiating. Burial was in the Benkelman Cemetery.

Mid-America First Call of Omaha, Forch Funeral Home of Benkelman and Tim and Kristi Daum of Limon, Colo. were in charge of arrangements.
