CURTIS -- Kenneth Harwick, 90, died Monday (Sept. 30, 2002) at the Sunset Haven Nursing Home in Curtis.
He was born Aug. 5, 1912, at Moorefield to Fayette and Ethel (Grange) Harwick. He graduated from Moorefield High School in 1930.
On Nov. 3, 1934, he married Faye Craig at Broken Bow. They farmed near Ingham and later near Moorefield. After leaving the farm he was employed by the City of Curtis.
On Nov. 17, 1988, he married Ina Grace Harder in Stockville. He was a member of the Congregational Church in Curtis.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Faye in 1975.
Survivors include his wife, Grace of Curtis; one daughter, Lynda and husband, Dennis Drayton of Ainsworth; two sons, Larry Harwick and wife, Judith of Flagler, Colo. and Fayette Harwick and wife, Lori of Alliance; two step-daughters, Billie Christensen of Littleton, Colo., and Darlene and husband, Tedd Hinton of Colorado Springs, Colo.; one step-son, Daniel Smith and wife, Karen of Maywood; one sister, Eugenie Rayback of Roseville, Calif.; one brother, Fayette "Bud" Harwick and wife, Ardis of Curtis; eight grandchildren; five step-grandchildren; four great-grandchildren; and two step-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Thursday, 2 p.m., at the Moorefield Cemetery with the Rev. Leon Banzhaf officiating. Visitation is Thursday from 9 a.m. to noon.
Memorials may be given in his name to Central Plains Hospice of Cozad.
