ARAPAHOE -- Daisy E. Gardner, 96, died Wednesday (Oct. 2, 2002) at the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.
She was born April 4, 1906, to Owen D. and Rachael (Meyers) Morse in rural Bertrand. She was raised on the farm near Edison. She attended school at Edison Public Schools.
In January of 1923, she married George H. Gardner in Beaver City. They made their home on a farm northeast of Arapahoe. In 1979, they moved to Arapahoe. In 1989, she moved into the C.A. Mues Good Samaritan Center in Arapahoe.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, George in 1986; two sisters; and one brother.
Survivors include three sons, Don Gardner and wife, Norma Lea of Beaver City, Vernon Gardner and wife, Marjorie and Duane Gardner and wife, Joyce all of Arapahoe; eight grandchildren; 17 great-grandchildren; and five great-great-grandchildren.
Graveside services will be Friday, 10 a.m., at the Arapahoe Cemetery with the Rev. Carl Lilienkamp officiating.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m.
