COLBY, Kan. -- Charles L. Adams, 85, died Thursday (Oct. 3, 2002) at the Lantern Park Manor in Colby, Kan.
He was born Sept. 15, 1917, in Levant, Kan.
He spent most of his adult life in the Atwood, Herndon and Oberlin areas. He was a retired U.S. Post Office Rural Mail Carrier and an electrician.
Survivors include his wife, Charlotte of Colby; two sons, William "Bill" Adams of Colby and Charles Adams II of Austin, Texas; one brother, Lawrence Adams of Denver, Colo.; four grandchildren; and three great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Monday, 10 a.m., at the Berean Church in Colby with the Rev. Francis Harwerth of Colby officiating. Burial will be in the Brewster Cemetery at Brewster, Kan.
Visitation will be Sunday from 2-6 p.m. at the funeral chapel.
Memorials may be given in his name to the Berean Church of Colby or the Gideons International and may be left at any Colby bank or the funeral chapel.
