TRENTON -- Billy L. Lashley, 61, died Sunday (Nov. 10, 2002) at Great Plains Regional Medical Center in North Platte.
He was born, Aug. 17, 1941, to Elmer H. and Hazel Leota (Blake) Lashley at McCook. He graduated from Red Willow Public Schools in 1959.
On Dec. 30, 1961, he married Darlene M. Kometscher in Indianola. He owned El Paso Drywall Business in Colorado Springs, Colo., for 37 years. Seven years ago he moved to the farm in Trenton due to health issues. He started farming and raising cattle.
He was a member of the Elks Club and the Eagles Club, both of Colorado Springs.
He was preceded in death by his father; a son, Kenneth; one brother, Wilbur; one sister, Laree Meissner and one granddaughter.
Survivors include his wife, Darlene; two sons, Dale Lashley and wife, Tamberly and Darryl Lashley and wife, Evet both of Colorado Springs; two daughters, Tami and husband, Brian Eyl of Trenton and Barbara and husband, Gregory Coffey of Colorado Springs; his mother, Hazel Lashley of McCook; three brothers, Duane Lashley and wife, Lyllis of Corvalis, Ore., Larry Lashley and wife, Jeniene and Randy Lashley and wife, Carol, all of Trenton; one sister, Sandy Morris of McCook; and eight grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10 a.m., at the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Johnny Walker officiating. Burial will be in the Rosehill Cemetery Southwest of Trenton.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m. at the funeral home.
