Dale F. Davis, 70, died Friday (Nov. 15, 2002) at Community Hospital in McCook.
He was born June 13, 1932, in Indianola. He was raised by his stepfather, George and mother, Zella Seals in McCook. He graduated from McCook High School in 1950. He worked at Nebraska Public Power for 37 years.
He served in the National Guard for several years. He was a lifetime member of the Eagles Club.
He was preceded in death by his parents, George and Zella Seals; and one sister, Marguerite Ashton.
Survivors include his wife, Betty Davis of McCook; five stepchildren, Jim Ellenwood of Kearney, Bill Ellenwood and wife, Diane of
Adrian, Mich., Steve Ellenwood and wife, Jeanine of Harlan, Iowa; two daughters, Dianna and husband, Randy Brown of McCook and Penny and husband, Rich Thomas of Indianola; a brother Don Davis and wife, Mary of Hensley, Utah; three sisters, Jessie Slusser of Stockton, Calif., Daisy Fruend of Norwata, Okla., and Oma Scott of McCook; 13 step-grandchildren and 8 step-great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 2 p.m., at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home with the Rev. Stan Hendershot officiating. Burial will be in Memorial Park Cemetery.
Visitation will be today until 8 p.m at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in his name.
