Clifford Dean Graham

LINCOLN -- Clifford Dean Graham, 75, formerly of McCook, died Wednesday (Nov. 13, 2002) at St. Elizabeth's Regional Medical Center in Lincoln, due to heart failure.

He was born May 13, 1927, at Danbury, to Fred and Hazel (Roop) Graham and attended school in Danbury where he was a member of the graduating class of 1945.

After high school he served during World War II in the U.S. Army, and returned to the McCook area after receiving his honorable discharge.

On Oct. 31, 1944, he married Naida Lipsey at Oberlin. He was employed with the State of Nebraska Department of Roads and retired after 30 years of service.

He was a member of the McCook Elks Lodge and the American Legion.

He was preceded in death by his parents, Fred and Hazel Graham.

Survivors include his wife, Naida Graham of Lincoln; daughters, Kay and husband, John Steinke of Waukee, Iowa, and Belinda and husband, Bob Blackman of Beatrice; four grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.

Graveside services will be Saturday, 1 p.m., at Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.

Visitation will be today until 8 p.m. and Satruday from 10 a.m. to noon at Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook. The family will be present Saturday morning to receive friends.

Memorials may be given in his name to the American Heart Association.
