Jacqueline Lorraine Willcoxon, 68 died Saturday (Nov. 16, 2002) at Community Hospital in McCook.
She was born Aug. 28, 1934, to Lynn Baker and Leva T. Mumby in Swanton. She grew up in Beatrice and attended Beatrice High School and later graduated from Lincoln Community College in 1974.
In March of 1952, she married Clinton Willcoxon in Yuma, Ariz. He was in the Navy and through the years they lived in San Diego, Calif., Long Beach, Calif., Vallejo, Calif., Carmichael, Calif., Bremerton, Wash., Seattle, Wash.
,Blackfoot, Idaho and Newport, R.I. After he retired from the Navy they lived in Omaha and then Lincoln. In 1985 they moved to McCook and have lived here since.
She was a member of the Methodist Church. She was a past president of the Genealogy Society.
Preceding her in death were her parents.
Survivors include her husband Clinton of McCook; four daughters, Kitten Buettner of Omaha, Theresa and husband, Mark Freese, of Papillion, Andrea Adams of Valley and Cheryl Willcoxon of Grand Junction, Colo.; three brothers Mitchell Baker and wife, Shirley of Beatrice, John Baker of Lincoln, and Phillip Schultze and wife, Jean of Council Bluffs, Iowa; four sisters, Charlotte and husband, Kenneth Maschmeier, Sharon Hubka all of Council Bluffs, Darlene and husband, Jim Brezina of Lincoln and Vicky Longwell of Crete; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Memorial United Methodist Church with the Rev. Dr. Jeff Thurman officiating.
Visitation will be today until 8 p.m. and Tuesday from 4-8 p.m., at the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook.
Visitation in Lincoln will be Thursday morning 9 - 11 a.m. in the Lincoln Memorial Funeral Chapel, 6800 S. 14th St. Burial will follow visitation.
Memorials may be given in her name.
