OBERLIN -- Clarence E. Perrin, 86, died Saturday (Nov. 23, 2002) at Cedar Living Center in Oberlin.
He was born Oct. 29. 1916, to Dillard H. and Nancy M. (Thayer) Perrin at Allison, Kan. He was raised on a farm near Allison in Decatur County and attended school at Jennings.
On Feb. 13, 1939, he married Bernice Edgell at Mount Pleasant, Kan. They farmed near Allison and then moved to Oberlin in 1979. He was a farmer.
He was a member of the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
He was preceded in death by his parents; wife, Bernice in 1994; daughter, Nancy; brother, Glen; and sisters, Bertha McConell and Ruber Bainter Johnston.
Survivors include one son, Willard Perrin and wife, Tina of Oberlin; three daughters, Betty Lee of Pawnee Rock, Kan., Carolyn Brockway of Salina, Kan., and Eula and husband, Robert Doggett of Saugerties, N.Y.; nine grandchildren; and six great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Pauls Funeral Home in Oberlin. Interment will be at the Oberlin Cemetery.
Visitation is today until 8 p.m., Tuesday from 8 a.m. to 8 p.m. with the family receiving friends from 6-8 p.m., and Wednesday from 8 a.m. until time of service. Memorials may be given in his name to the United Church of Oberlin or the Mount Pleasant Baptist Church.
