Frank Suda died Wednesday (Dec. 11, 2002) at Community Hospital of McCook at the age of 78.
Frank was born June 27, 1924, in New Bohemia Prince George County, Va., to Frank M. and Helen Annie Zebedee (Vesley) Suda.
He moved to Nebraska in 1935 as a young boy. He lived in Lincoln County, around the Wallace area until moving to Hayes County in 1943. He married Avis Nadine Weston in 1944 and to this union two children were born.
He owned his own repair shop, and operated several businesses in Hitchcock and Hayes County over the years. He was a retired member of the Palisade Fire Department, Palisade Masonic Lodge, and Odd Fellows. He served on the Palisade Village Board and was a member of the Methodist Church.
Survivors include his wife, Nadine of Palisade; one daughter, Frankie and husband, John Miller of Palisade; son, Don Suda and wife, Mary, also of Palisade; seven grandchildren, Kandy Stevens, Jacki Lewis, Christine Miller, Kim Epp, Colyn Suda, Jessica McKinney, and Katlin Suda; and eight great-grandchildren.
Preceding him in death were his parents, Frank and Helen Suda; two brothers, Bill and Fred Vesley; and one grandson, Robin Suda.
Graveside services will be at the Palisade Cemetery Saturday, Dec. 14, 2002, 10:30 a.m., with the Rev. Bruce Lester and Morris Hartman officiating. Visitation will be today until 8 p.m.
