CULBERTSON -- Anna Frances Korell, 90, died Sunday (Dec. 22, 2002) at Community Hospital in McCook.
She was born Sept. 18, 1912, at Litchfield, to Jacob and Agnes (Klippinstein) Tessman. She grew up in Stockham. On Feb. 16, 1937, she married Glenn Korell at Culbertson. She lived most of her life in Culbertson.
She was a member of the United Methodist Church, the True Blue Club and the Help A Lot Club.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Glenn on June 11, 1984; two brothers, Jack Tessman and Frank Tessman; and four sisters, Martha Rath, Helen Cook, Marie Peter and Hazel Korell.
Survivors include a son, Van Korell and wife, Janet of McCook; daughter Vicki and husband, Dick Powell of Lincoln; sisters, Irene Pope and Agnes Funk both of McCook and Rosalie Porath of Southgate, Mich.; six grandchildren; and five great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Tuesday, 10 a.m., at the Trinity United Methodist Church in Culbertson with the Rev. Dr. Jeffery Thurman officiating. Burial will be in the Culbertson Cemetery.
Visitation will be today until 8 p.m., at the Carpenter Breland Funeral home in McCook. The casket will be closed at the church.
Memorials may be given to the Culbertson Rescue Squad.
