LINCOLN -- Mary Lou (Miner) Kelly, 42, died Wednesday (Dec. 18, 2002) at the Tabitha Health Care Center in Lincoln after a three-year battle with cancer.
She was born June 20, 1960, to Melvin and Beulah (Brown) Miner at Cambridge. She attended Republican Valley High School and graduated from Platte Valley Academy in Shelton in 1978.
On Aug. 16, 1986, she married Doug Schafer in Lincoln.
On Feb. 2, 2002, she married Brent Kelly in Lincoln. She worked for the State of Nebraska Department of Roads with the Accident Division at the time of her death.
She was preceded in death by her grandparents, Cecil and Mary Miner of Wilsonville.
Survivors include her husband, Brent of Lincoln; daughter, Kami of Lincoln; parents, Melvin and Beulah Miner of Grand Island; brother, Melvin Lee of Grand Island; and her grandmother, Ruby Decker of Gothenburg.
Memorial services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at the Berean Church in Lincoln at 70th and Highway 2. Inurnment will be in the Wilsonville Cemetery at Wilsonville.
