McDONALD -- Margaret M. Jenik, 76, died Tuesday (Dec. 31, 2002) at the Good Samaritan Center in Atwood.
She was born Sept. 3, 1926, in Rawlins County to Clarence Ralph and Lela Belle (McDonald) Long. She was a 1944 graduate of McDonald High School.
On Oct. 20, 1946, she married Fred Jenik at Colby. She was a lifetime resident of the McDonald area. She was a homemaker. She worked at the McDonald Public Library from 1960 to 1994. From 1948 to 1960, she and her husband owned and operated the John Deere Dealership in McDonald. She moved to the Good Samaritan Center in Atwood Sept. 9, 1999.
She was preceded in death by her parents; husband, Fred in 1986; and a brother, Robert Long.
Survivors include two sons, Steve Jenik and wife, Dedi of Sterling, Colo., and Mark Jenik and wife, Dolores of St. Francis; one daughter, Becky and husband, Robert J. Simminger, Jr. of Ludell; six grandchildren; and six step-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at Brantley Funeral Chapel in Atwood with the Rev. Don White officiating. Interment will be in the Grace Cemetery at McDonald.
Visitation is today until 9 p.m., Friday from 9 a.m. to 9 p.m., and until service time Saturday at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given to the McDonald Public Library or to the McDonald Ambulance Fund.
