Mayme Ardena Dodson

CURTIS -- Mayme Ardena Dodson, 89, died Tuesday (Jan. 7, 2003) at Sunset Haven Nursing Home in Curtis.

She was born Nov. 17, 1913, at Frontier County, to Leo and Sophia Seigel Dold. She attended school in Maywood.

On March 1, 1938, she married John Stanley Dodson. They farmed and ranched in Frontier County until moving to Curtis after his retirement.

She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Stanley in 1999; brother, Manford "Buck" Dold; and sisters, Leona Smith, Esther Dodson, Veda Littell, and Twila Dodson.

Survivors include nieces and nephews, Howard and wife, Pat Dold, Allen and wife, Terri Dold, Donald and wife, Sharon Dodson, Leon and wife, Vicki Dodson, Willis Dodson, Bonnie and husband, Otis Ruppert, Arvene and wife, Judy Schultz, Duane and wife, Beverly Dodson, Eileen and husband, Vernon Shirley and Phyllis and husband Robert Mayfield.

Graveside memorial services will be Saturday, 2 p.m., at the Maywood Cemetery with the Rev. Dale Heimer officiating.

The register book will be available to sign Friday from 9 a.m. to 5 p.m. at the funeral home.

Memorials may be given in her name to the charity of the donor's choice.
