Idell M. Crall, 87, died Saturday (Jan. 11, 2003) at the El Dorado Manor in Trenton.
She was born Nov. 30, 1915, to Elvis and Lulu Daisy (Turner) Duke in Shamrock, Texas. She grew up at Shamrock where she graduated from Shamrock High School. She received her teachers degree from South Western University at Weatherford, Okla. She began teaching school at Lokeba, Okla.
On May 9, 1939, she married Lloyd Crall at Medford, Okla. In 1955, they moved to Dodge City, Kan., where they spent their married lives.
She was a member of the First Methodist Church, Order of Eastern Star and the Shrine Auxiliary at Dodge City.
She was preceded in death by her parents; her husband, Lloyd; three brothers, Hayden Duke, Lynn Duke, Ralph Duke; and one sister, Jessye May Campbell.
Survivors include three daughters, Beverly Higginbotham of Rawlins, Wyo., Joan and husband, Bob Webster of Sheridan, Wyo., and Mary and husband, Robert Loghry of McCook; two sons, David Crall of Wichita, Kan., and Mike Crall of Bridgeport, Texas; one sister, Mary Deering of Odessa, Texas; sister-in-law, Ruth Craig of Boylston, Mass.; 14 grandchildren; and 10 great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 10 a.m., at the First Methodist Church in Dodge City with the Rev. Dick Robbins officiating. Interment will be in the Maple Grove Cemetery at Dodge City.
