Edna M. Zick, 94, died Wednesday (Jan. 15, 2003) at Community Hospital of McCook.
She was born Dec. 20, 1908, in Cline, Okla., to James Manley and Maude Merla (McCormack) Cassel. She grew up at Norton, Kan., and came to McCook in 1917. She attended the McCook Schools where she received her education.
On Sept. 22, 1925, she married Clifford McEwen at Downs, Kan. They spent most of their married life in Colorado. He preceded her in death in 1954.
In 1956, she married Albert Zick. She returned to McCook in 1983, where she has spent the remainder of her life.
She was preceded in death by her parents; both husbands, Clifford and Albert; four brothers, James Cassel, Harold Cassel, Clarence Cassel and Johnnie Cassel; and two sisters, Hazel Harrison and Mabel Dulaney.
Survivors include one sister, Fern and husband, Russell Dowling of McCook.
A memorial service will be Monday, 1 p.m., at the First Baptist Church in McCook with the Rev. Stan Hendershot officiating. Inurnment will be in Memorial Park Cemetery in McCook.
