BEAVER CITY -- Estas "Bill" Williams, 83, of Albuquerque, N.M., formerly of the Beaver City and Precept area, died Friday (March 7, 2003) at a nursing home in Albuquerque.

He was born Dec. 17, 1919, at Plattsmouth, to Calvin and Gladys (Cook) Williams. He was raised in the Precept area near Beaver City and Stamford. He moved to California as a teenager.

He was a retired Major with the U.S. Marines, retiring in 1959. He and his wife, Katherine, moved to Albuquerque in 1990.

He was preceded in death by his parents; and his wife, Katherine in 1998.

Survivors include a son, Bill Williams and wife, Roxy of Blanchard, Idaho; two daughter, Terri and husband, Ron Forstbauer of Albuquerque and Toni and husband, Jeff Beinstein of Stony Brook, N.Y.; six grandchildren; and several great-grandchildren.

Funeral services will be Tuesday, 1:30 p.m., at Wenburg Funeral Home in Beaver City with the Rev. Darin Bentzinger officiating. Burial with military honors will be at the Maple Creek Cemetery in rural Beaver City.

Viewing and visitation will be Tuesday from 9 a.m. until time of service at the funeral home.
