DRESDEN -- Cynthia "Cindy" Schillig, 48, died Sunday (March 9, 2003) at her home in rural Dresden.
She was born Feb. 27, 1954, in Detroit Lakes, Minn., to Maurice and Leila (Yoder) Grieser. She attended grade school and high school in Washington, Iowa.
On June 14, 1978, she married Matt Schillig in Anamosa, Iowa. She was a homemaker. They have resided in Dresden since 1978.
She was a member of the Dresden United Methodist Church. She was preceded in death by her father, Maurice Grieser.
Survivors include her husband, Matt of Dresden; two sons, Aden Schillig of Jennings and Steven Schillig and fiance', Stacey Brown of Stratton, Colo.; her mother, Leila Grieser-Bohn of Mount Pleasant, Iowa; four brothers, Robert Grieser and wife, Leah of Ames, Iowa, Michael Grieser of Mount Pleasant, Melvin Grieser and wife, Pat of Battle Lake, Minn., and Dwight Grieser and wife, Rhonda of Des Moines, Iowa; one sister, Janice and husband, Marvin Yaley of Mount Pleasant; and one grandchild.
Funeral services will be Wednesday, 2 p.m., at the Dresden United Methodist Church with the Rev. Glenn Krebs officiating. Interment will be in the Dresden Cemetery at Dresden.
The family will receive friends Tuesday from 6-8 p.m., at the funeral home.
Memorials may be given in her name.
