Charles 'Charlie' B. Boehm

Charles "Charlie" B. Boehm, 69, died Thursday (March 27, 2003) at his rural McCook home.

He was born May 29, 1933, at McCook, to Fred and Etta (Dwyer) Boehm. He attended McCook Public Schools. He entered the U.S. Army on May 21, 1953, and served during the Korean Conflict. He was honorably discharged on May 13, 1955.

On April 25, 1964, he married Nora J. "Jackie" Kotschwar at St. Patrick's Catholic Church in McCook. To this union one daughter, Roxanne, was born. They lived their married life in the McCook community where he was a self-employed carpenter.

He was a member of St. Patrick's Catholic Church and Veterans of Foreign Wars.

Preceding him in death were his parents, Fred and Etta Boehm; one brother, Fredie Boehm; and one sister, Patty L. Shepherd.

Survivors include his wife, Jackie Boehm of McCook; daughter, Roxanne and husband, Kirk Arens, of Easton, Pa.; two sisters, Katie O'Neil of McCook and Bea Wilson of Corpus Christi, Texas; and two grandsons.

Funeral services will be Wednesday, 10:30 a.m., at Carpenter Breland Chapel, with the Rev. Gary Brethour officiating. Burial will be in Calvary Cemetery in McCook.

Visitation will be today until 5 p.m. and Tuesday, 9 a.m. until 8 p.m.

In lieu of flowers memorials may be given in his name.
