Doran Dean Remington, 75, of McCook, died Tuesday (May 13, 2003) at St. Luke's Presbyterian Hospital in Denver, Colo. He was born Dec. 17, 1927, to George and Anna Catherine (Ward) Remington in Red Willow County.
On April 6, 1947, he married Delphine Nokes at Oberlin. They have lived in McCook since 1948. He was a mechanic for Nebraska Road Department and sold farm machinery for the McCook Co-op.
He was a member of the McCook Eagles.
He was preceded in death by his parents; and two brothers, Marvin and Otis.
Survivors include his wife, Delphine of McCook; two daughters, Connie and husband, Roland Walter of Dolores, Colo., and Diane and husband, Murray Dugger of Aurora, Colo.; one brother, Alden Remington and wife, Catherine of McCook; four grandchildren; and seven great-grandchildren.
Funeral services will be Saturday, 10:30 a.m., at the Carpenter Breland Funeral Home in McCook with Jerry Beckenhauer officiating. Burial will be in the Lebanon Cemetery at Lebanon.
Visitation will be Friday from 9 a.m. to 8 p.m.
Memorials may be given to the American Cancer Society.
