OCS internet service sold to McCookNet

Thursday, October 4, 2001

OCS internet is now under new ownership after being sold to McCookNet on Monday.

"Since I am now working at AmFirst Bank full-time, I am not able to maintain and give (my customers) the same level of service that my employees and I have in the past," said Todd McCarty, owner of the Internet division of O.C.S. Inc. "(Customers) should see no change in service and expect a smooth transition."

Customers will not have to change their email addresses and can maintain the "@ocsmccook.com" e-mail extension.

McCookNet is expected to begin the transition this month. Advance payments made to OCS will be recognized, however customers using bank drafts and credit cards will need to contact McCook Net by Oct. 12 to make other arrangements.

OCS will be e-mailing November Internet invoices for McCook Net the week of Oct. 1-6. Payments are to be made out to McCook Net and can be dropped off at OCS until Oct. 12 or at Farrell's Pharmacy.

Any questions can be directed to McCookNet at (308) 345-1782 or OCS at (308) 345-6160.
