An act of commitment

I've never understood the reason for tattoos until recently. What I've discovered is that there are probably as many different reasons as there are people. Some tattoos are acts of individuality, some are acts of rebellion. Some are acts of machismo, others acts of femininity. Some are acts of despair, others are acts of commitment. It's the last one, the act of commitment, that I want to write about today, because it's personal.
