Does God exist?

Tuesday, November 6, 2001

Dear Editor,

This letter is in response to the person who referred to the Christ as a 2000-year-old camel jockey.

Here are just a couple of observations I have from talking with men of faith and others who have no faith.

It appears if (we) ask directly, God will come into that place he created in every man who belongs to him.

It also appears that if man is searching for some other man to show him how to fill that place, then that other man will likely use God's place to lead him astray. This is good reason to be alert at all times.

If you do not understand the real and almighty power of God, then you do not know what it means to fear the Lord.

You can ask "does God exist" and you will get no answer. But if you give it all over to the Lord, your faith will allow his almighty power to show itself unto you in such an overpowering way you will know what real fear is as you are shaken to your soul's foundation by His awesome power. (Any retreat at a person's Christian church is a good place to make the concentrated prayer effort it takes to ask Gods' help toward trusting Him with all your worldly concerns.)

Try to imagine such respect for the power of God that no amount of torture could make you deny God exists and that Jesus is the Christ.
