Good job, city

Wednesday, April 3, 2002

I wish to commend the city of McCook for finally getting up with the times. We are informed on having to pay high deposits and "oppressive" late fees for our electricity, phone and gas utilities (along with credit cards, car payments, house payments, etc.). Why shouldn't we be responsible for our water utility bill? If the people would just pay their bills on time maybe they won't have anything to worry about!

The city of McCook isn't a bank and they shouldn't have to "carry" anyone just because they can't pay their bill. Start taking responsibility for yourself, grow up and find someone else to pick on instead of the city.

Little guy ... you're wrong! By the way, on John Bingham, it's about time we have a manager who sticks up for what's right and gets this city back in order.

Keep up the good work!
