Why warnings?

Thursday, June 13, 2002

Dear Editor,

Forest fires are raging all over the mountains of Colorado and one big one is headed right for Denver.

Why are the people from the U.S. Forest warning people to evacuate their homes? Seems like a stupid thing to do. After all there have always been forest fires. Why warn people about them and make them flee their nice comfortable homes? I wonder why people don't just laugh at the warning and stay. Is it because the smoke is so thick they can hardly breathe? Or do they feel the heat? Or is it both? The Bible says, "A wise man looks well to his going but fools rush on and are punished. Proverbs!" In scripture, a fool is almost always an intelligent person who does all of his reasoning without taking God and the teaching of God's Word into account. Read II Peter 3:3-8.

The Bible tells us about some of the men (wise) of Israel, "They were men who were able to discern the times in which they lived."

I have offered solid biblical evidence that the entire world will soon be engulfed in a terrible holocaust, "a time of trouble such as never was before and will never be again, very soon."

You can make fun and ridicule if you want but you do so at your own peril.

The nuclear weapons are all in place and the ICBMs can deliver them. I received an intelligence report recently that will turn your blood to ice. "The U.S. is going to war with Iraq in six months to a year and Saddam has suicide bombers ready in cities all across America with nuclear suitcase bombs, also biological and chemical weapons. The estimated loss of life will be a quarter of a million to a million people on the first go around. That's why President Bush and Vice President Cheney are warning Americans to be on the alert. The man they caught was just a warning to the U.S. I will be preaching this Sunday, June 16, at the First Baptist Church here in McCook, on, "Why I believe the end (of this age) is near."

You are invited to come. The church is located at 1010 East 6th St., near the east water tower.

Your Friend,

Paul Schneider
