Filling a niche

Friday, June 21, 2002

Dear Friend,

Each one of us has a niche in life where we fit in. Pastor Jeff Thurman wrote an excellent article recently in which he presented the gospel message in all of its simplicity. It was beautiful. Keep it up Jeff. Pastors Charles Hooten, Bruce Lester and others also do an excellent job of "making the message clear and plain" when they write. Dawn Cribbs also does a marvelous job in all of her articles. One of the niches where I fit in is Bible prophecy. Having been a student of Bible prophecy for the last 45 years, I know, unmistakably, what is soon going to come to pass in this old world. In II Peter 1:19 we read, "We have also a more sure word of prophecy; whereunto you do well that you take heed, as unto a light that shineth in a dark place, until the dawn, and the day star arise in your hearts:" Why does Peter say, "A more sure word?" Isn't it because of all the Bible prophecies that had already been fulfilled, that every detail had come to pass exactly as prophesied? There are over 1,000 prophecies in the Bible and over 500 of them have already come to pass in every detail. Thats why you must take heed. The Bible tells us that, "There will be a time of trouble upon the earth such as never was before and will never be again."  We are there folks. But you can escape by accepting Jesus Christ as you personal Savior today. Your Friend
