Dear Editor,

Clearly the loud banging noises caused by domestic fireworks is a sure sign of sincere patriotism.

The tremendous intellectual talent required for setting off daytime firecrackers is mind-boggling.

Yet, some states and cities have totally banned all fireworks!

Are we becoming a totalitarian nation where civil liberties and freedom of expression are outlawed? Let us pray not. Celebrate our freedom. Make as much noise as possible -- this will make our enemies the terrorists think twice before attacking our soil again.

And remember, don't forget to vote.

And buy only American-made fireworks.
