Say thanks?

Thursday, October 24, 2002

Dear Editor,

Well we got moisture. Did you thank GOD?

Oh, I know the saying that "it rains on the just and the unjust" but remember GOD never forgets who said THANKS!

Since it came in the form of snow, I can only hope you got your snow fence up or as I do, home made. It makes a 2-inch snow with a bit of wind gives my garden area a TWO-foot snow drift on the garden plot.

If you need some ideas watch how mother nature uses bluffs and other objects to catch and hold snow, or just call me. Foolish it is to let it blow away. Buy a dark-colored plastic cover and use some bricks to hold it down after the snow.

This allows a much slower meltdown, instead of running off and then being forced to pay three prices for water next spring.

There are four free ways to get water in McCook, do you know them?
