Home and Builders Show offers ideas for your enjoyment

Monday, February 17, 2003

Is your abode becoming boring? Ready for a little luxury? Are your windows leaky, your carpets grungy or your kitchen in need of help?

Then roll out of bed, grab a bowl of cereal and head over to the McCook Chamber of Commerce's 13th annual Home and Builders Show.

Located in the old Stage Store in Westview Plaza, the home show is open from 10 a.m. to 8 p.m. Saturday and 11 a.m. to 4 p.m. Sunday.

Some 82 booths -- including five outside -- offer a wide variety of services and products.

A modest $1 admission is being charged for adults, with children 12 and under free. But those in attendance will get that back and more, with free giveaways, drawings and advice.

Everything from garage doors to lumber, water treatment, spas, furniture, electronics, lawn, garden and much, much more is represented.

If you know what kind of home project you're interested in, you're in luck. Most likely, one or several of the businesses represented at the Home and Builders Show will have exactly the product you need to complete your task. Or, if it's inspiration you need, the show offers a great chance to find just the product to make your home that much more functional and enjoyable.

And, don't worry about going back home to eat. This year, the Taste of Texas, Runza Restaurant and Subway are providing delicious food in the food court.

So stop by the Westview Plaza this weekend and check out Home and Builders Show. You'll probably find just what you need.
