Think positive

Tuesday, March 11, 2003

Dear Editor,

Small town pride is part of our heritage. We chose to live and work in this area. With that comes the responsibility to build and maintain our livelihood. We are spending too much time convincing our youth that there is nothing in Southwest Nebraska. If we keep this up, they will begin to believe it. Southwest Nebraska needs small towns and communities to compliment the larger towns. We need to promote the Southwest Nebraska area rather than to condemn it.

We are all blessed with a brain. We should do our own thinking. We all live every day with the unknowns, but are optimistic enough to get up everyday and go to work We are willing to invest in the future of our children and ourselves. We do believe it will work. Positive actions reap positive benefits.

The more you tell me it won't work the more determined I am to work for it. The best budget in the world is still only a "guess-timate" with the most known facts at hand.

If you still have questions, feel free to contact any member of the "Vision for Tomorrow" committee. Make up your own mind with the facts that work the best for your family and your situation. Decide what you are willing to pay for and where you want to go.

GO VOTE!
