Banking water

Monday, April 7, 2003

Dear Editor,

As paychecks come in, workers use a bank to put some money away for a rainy day.

Well, we on the bottom with little money find that a rainy day in fact saves us money by banking the water for dry periods to come.

My largest water barrel is an old horse water tank with many holes, but with a double layer of plastic, it now holds water and a cover protects it from sun and bugs.

I hope my 500 gallons of containers will keep my garden green and growing through the summer.
